What are Lip Fillers?

Dermal fillers are used to treat the lips and surrounding area. The HA filler can add and restore fullness to the lips, smooth out fine lines around the mouth and create more volume and definition to the cupids bow, philtrum border.

There are many dermal fillers on the market that are substandard in terms of ingredients and quality. At Kerrie Lynch Aesthetics we only use the best quality temporary dermal filler range available.

The Procedure and Recovery

On the day of your treatment, you will have the opporunity to go through any last minute questions you might have. The nurse will begin by applying a numbing cream to the areas where the lip filler is going to be injected. Once the cream has taken effect, the nurse will use a fine needle to carefully complete the series of small injections, and then ensure the filler is evenly distributed. The treatment usually takes about 30 minutes and, although you may experience some slight swelling or bruising, the results will be visible straight away. You can book a free consultation to go through any questions and decide on the best treatment for you.

As soon as your treatment is completed you should be fine to go about your normal daily activites. Any swelling or bruising that has occured during the treatment will usualyl disappear within 48 hours.

Lip fillers/Lip Enhancement is a cosmetic treatment, and like most cosmetic procedures, there is always a small chance that there could be complications. However, if performed by experienced and qualified practitioners, it is generally a very safe procedure. All practitioners at Kerrie Lynch Aesthetics are insured, regulated and registered nurses.

The lip filler treatment results in minimum pain if any at all. The discomfort level will mostly depend on the practitioners technique and your own pain tolerance, but generally this procedure is a pain free one. Your practitioner at Kerrie Lynch Aesthetics will always make you feel at ease and calm you if you’re new to this type of procedure.

The lip filler treatment involves injections using very fine needles to inject the filler into the lips or outer lip lines. Therefore some very minor bleeding is to be expected but stops quickly.

Initially, there will be some swelling and the lips may feel and look bigger than you anticipated. However the swelling will reduce over time and soon go down to reveal the final result. This usually takes a week to 2 weeks but can take longer.
